With distinct opinions and a big fat rolodex of sources, speakers, songsters and symphonies, Abbe custom designs each event for maximum impact.
This year's calendar of events is as varied and unique as the lady herself. Abbe continues to honcho and orchestrate everything from power breakfasts
to intimate cocktail hours. She works with individuals, not-for-profit groups and large corporations, in all instances pre-empting their every need and attending
to even their smallest whim or wish. Currently in the works is an assortment of NYC- and Hudson Valley-based cocktail-n-nibbles soirees, off-da-hook weddings
and lavish fundraising private dinners for the many meaningful causes that Abbe continues to support. Ask Abbe about her preferred locales and sources,
including THE hottest caterer in all the land, Mary Giuliani Catering & Events.
Closer to her own stomping grounds, Abbe's been brought in to assist Catskill Mountainkeeper in launching its presence in Woodstock. The
venerable grassroots environmental organization working to protect the Catskills is the forerunner in the anti-fracking movement, and with a new office
in Woodstock, the Mountainkeeper team turned to Abbe to spearhead both its "Intro to Woodstock" February 2011 Open House as well as a number of its
celebrity-heavy gala fundraisers going forward, with Mountaineer spokepersons and supporters Mark Ruffalo, Debra Winger, Michelle Williams, Steve Buscemi
and Bobby Kennedy Jr. often on hand for festivities (Wanna see pix? Check out my How To Reach Her section.)
Also on the books is a SERIOUSLY upscale charity event with a NYC-based foundation that really makes a difference with raising awareness and
inspiring change in the areas of well-being, preserving cultures and empowering young people. We're talking Page Six placement...stay tuned!
2010 Gala for WJC Shul
A glittering benefit/book launch party for Marianne Schnall, one of the most celebrated feminist authors around. A standing-room-only event with
fans and longtime admirers, major media and icons including Gloria Steinem and Eve Ensler ("The Vagina Monologues") More on Feminist.com
The annual "Dinner of Honor" Gala for the Woodstock Jewish Congregation Shul,
held at the snazzy new Lazy Swan Golf & Country Club. Abbe oversaw menus and decor, arranged entertainment, Hollywood swag for the live auction and is delighted to report that the synogogue raised substantially
more funds this year than in years' past.
Of course, Abbe just completed "All Love, All Woodstock," a benefit for Constance McMillen and the ACLU. More on that success story on our
fundraising page, but, as author and celebrity interviewer Martha Frankel remarked, "In the depths of a recession, Abbe was able to bring a town
together - even reuniting people who hadn't spoken in years - and raise a considerable amount of money for a young girl who doesn't even live here! The whole community turned out for an amazing night...what a fantastic accomplishment!"
